In what ways have you considered relationships? You can mention specific readings. Or you might reflect on your relationship with writing. How has it changed and how do you think it might change in the future?
I have considered that there are many types of relationships and effect people in a different ways. Some may be toxic, nostalgic and helpful in ways. Each one effects the person in that relationship whether it be a sibling relationship, a relationship with phones and a type of relationship you can’t live without. For example, we read a piece where the son depended on his mom to take care of him because he was immobile. This is the type of relationship that you literally cannot live without. They were very dependent on each other. I noticed that all relationships are dependent on another person or thing. It’s always a team of 2. The other person may not be there, like the daughter who had an alcoholic dad, but she was still effected in many ways.
My relationship with writing has definitely changed due to how many pieces we have read on relationships. I feel like I know a lot more and I’m better informed through stories and real life experiences. I feel like I am more confident and find it easy to write about relationships now because of this course and its overall central idea. I think it will change in the future through my own experiences on relationship and maybe write about something that has happened to me. I know from here on out I will only be more knowledgeable.
